Business writing skills

While all workplaces have become more technically advanced, the amount of written correspondence has become even more daunting. The number of memos, proposals, manuals, brochures, and especially e-mails has grown by significant numbers on a seemingly daily basis.

This workshop will focus on developing and refining the somewhat forgotten art of the written word. The topics to be covered include:
  • Basic grammar usage and common mistakes
  • Getting started: knowing the audience, tone, persuasion, editing, breaking writer’s block
  • Various writing formats: memos, e-mails, sales letters, proposals, reports, press releases

Who should attend? Mid-level managers, sales and marketing staff, public relations employees, R&D, human resources personnel and secretarial staff
